Griffiths Bookbinding

I have for a long time been a zealous reader of literature and poetry and a keen collector of old, classic books. This includes an interest in the bindings and designs of these books and a fascination with the skills of bookbinding.

 

A residential course deep in the Welsh borders gave me a thorough grounding in traditional bookbinding techniques and book restoration. I have since studied bookbinding practice in exhibitions and workshops to develop my skills. I marble my own papers which are used as covers as well as endpapers.

 

My work is rooted in traditional craft and design to produce colourful, handmade notebooks and journals.

 

Each book is wholly unique.
